BofA Urges Denial Of Class Cert. For Troubled Homeowners

Law360, Los Angeles (July 12, 2013, 9:26 PM EDT) -- Bank of America Corp. on Friday urged a federal judge to deny certification to a putative class of homeowners who allege it didn't help them obtain loan modifications, claiming the plaintiffs' claims were too varied and that they supported their case with fraudulent statements from former bank employees.

Bank of America says in its brief that the situations of potential class members who allege they were harmed by the bank's handling of their Homeowner Affordable Modification Plan applications are too wildly varied to be resolved through classwide litigation. HAMP...
