$500M Wrigley Reno Plan Rounds Another Base

Law360, New York (July 24, 2013, 3:09 PM EDT) -- The Chicago City Council on Wednesday approved a much-debated $500 million plan to renovate Wrigley Field and build a mixed-use development, after the historic baseball stadium’s owners and the city negotiated yet more compromises on the project.

The council approved several zoning changes that the Ricketts family, which owns Wrigley and the resident Cubs baseball franchise, to move forward with a $300 million renovation of the stadium, as well as build a Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.-branded hotel, offices and retail space near the stadium....
