NY Gov. Signs Bill For $500M US Open Stadium Expansion

Law360, New York (September 6, 2013, 12:28 PM EDT) -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday signed legislation that will allow the U.S. Tennis Association to commence a $500 million expansion plan at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, the site of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships.

Cuomo made the announcement on one of the last days of the tournament, noting that the expansion will create a better experience for fans attending future events and create more than 1,500 jobs.
