Madison Square Garden Latest Target Of Unpaid Intern Suit

Law360, New York (September 17, 2013, 12:09 PM EDT) -- The Madison Square Garden Co. on Monday became the latest company targeted in a putative class action alleging that it improperly classified regular employees as interns in an effort to avoid paying them, according to documents filed in New York federal court.

Lead plaintiff Christopher Fraticelli, who worked for MSG from September 2011 through January 2012, claimed that the "The World's Most Famous Arena" illegally deemed him and other workers as interns or "student associates" even though they were performing tasks critical to the company's operations.
