NY Lawmakers Eye 'Home Rule' Power Over Casino Sitings

Law360, New York (January 23, 2014, 2:35 PM EST) -- Two New York lawmakers introduced legislation Thursday codifying "home rule" power and mandating environmental compliance during the casino siting process, seeking to ensure the state's massive gambling expansion doesn't run roughshod over local real estate and quality-of-life interests.
