Suit Claims Companies' Web Sites Infringe Patent

Law360 (April 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas software company has filed suit against numerous travel, financial and retail companies, claiming that technology used on their Web sites infringes one of its patents.

DataTern Inc. filed the suit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, naming a slew of companies as diverse as Hotels.com, Bank of America Corp. and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. as defendants.
