Avis Managers Seek To Settle NJ Overtime Suit In NY

By Tom Zanki (June 16, 2015, 6:09 PM EDT) -- Managers suing Avis Budget Car Rental LLC in a class action alleging the car rental giant owes them unpaid overtime wages on Tuesday requested a New Jersey federal judge transfer the case to New York, where a similar case is pending, in order to proceed with a settlement.

The letter submitted by plaintiffs' attorney Seth Lesser of Klafter Olsen & Lesser LLP, with the consent of Avis, notifies U.S. District Judges Madeline Cox Arleo and Leda Dunn Wettre, both of New Jersey, that the parties have agreed to settle the case and a parallel suit involving similar Fair Labor Standards Act...
