Harrah's Faces Patent Suit Over Surveillance System

Law360 (September 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Harrah's Entertainment Inc. has been hit with a lawsuit claiming a video surveillance system the casino operator uses at Bally's Atlantic City infringes a patent belonging to a New Jersey company.

In a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Multi-Format Inc. accuses Harrah's and NICE Systems Inc., the supplier of the surveillance system, of infringing a patent for a video monitoring and conferencing system.
