Calif. County Says Deal With Tribe Doesn't Block Casino Suit

Law360, New York (May 19, 2017, 7:33 PM EDT) -- A California county pressed the D.C. Circuit on Thursday to allow it to challenge a U.S. Department of the Interior decision supporting a proposed tribal casino, saying a 1987 deal between the county and the tribe didn’t waive the county’s right to challenge the legality of the tribe’s gaming plans.
