Sessions Aide Confirmed To Lead DOJ Civil Division

Law360 (August 28, 2018, 8:41 PM EDT) -- The longtime overseer of the U.S. Department of Justice’s representation of government agencies who has recently been serving as U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ chief of staff was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to lead the DOJ's Civil Division Tuesday.

Joseph “Jody” Hunt, who was a director in the division’s Federal Programs branch for 15 years before becoming Sessions’ chief of staff and senior counselor, was confirmed in a vote of 72-23, according to the Senate website.
