Google, AdWords Plaintiffs Agree To Trim Claims

Law360, New York (July 16, 2009, 7:40 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. and the plaintiffs in a putative class action over the Internet giant’s popular AdWords program have struck a deal to end unjust enrichment claims against Google in exchange for the company’s agreement to drop a breach of contract counterclaim.

Judge James Ware of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California signed off Wednesday on the deal.

According to the order, Google and the plaintiffs negotiated the mutual dismissals in order to avoid unnecessary motion practice.
