    $16M Compton Superfund Settlement Tossed As Too Vague

    A federal judge on Friday rejected a $16 million settlement that would have resolved some of the contamination liability claims at a former oil processing site in Compton, California, ruling that the deal was "obviously" too broad in barring future claims against past owners of the site and too vague about where the money would go.
