Ex-Rutgers QB Refiles Likeness Action Against EA

Law360, New York (October 14, 2010, 5:56 PM EDT) -- After a September dismissal, a former Rutgers University quarterback has refiled a putative class action against Electronic Arts Inc. accusing the company of using the likenesses of student athletes without their consent in its college football video games.

Ryan Hart, who played at Rutgers from 2002 to 2005, filed an amended complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, reviving a right to publicity claim that was dismissed on Sept. 22 by Judge Freda L. Wolfson for lack of specificity....
