Iran-Linked Charity Knocks US Witness In $1B Asset Fight

Law360, New York (June 15, 2017, 6:19 PM EDT) -- The Iran-linked charity fighting a billion-dollar U.S. government asset seizure effort got a key informant to tell jurors Thursday that his personal knowledge of the affairs of a real estate partnership at the heart of the case was before when prosecutors say the charity violated sanctions against Tehran.

The back-and-forth came as the Alavi Foundation completed its cross-examination of FBI informant Seyed Mojtaba Hesami-Kiche on day 11 of a jury trial before U.S. District Judge Katherine B. Forrest.
