She has also been fined $15,000 for declining to attend news conferences and was threatened with disqualification.

Osaka says she will take part in the Olympics, including its press conferences. However, the off-court controversy continues.

The post-match interview requirement may have nothing to do with how well a person hits a tennis ball.
