Apple-DOJ E-Book Fight Gets June 2013 Trial Date

Law360, New York (June 22, 2012, 7:56 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice case against Apple Inc. over its alleged e-book price-fixing will go to a bench trial in June 2013, the judge overseeing the mass of litigation against the computer giant in New York federal court said Friday.

U.S. District Judge Denise L. Cote scheduled June 3, 2013, as the start date for a potentially market-moving showdown between the DOJ and Apple, which is accused of conspiring with five publishers to raise the price of electronically published books by changing their wholesale model....
