College Hoops Defendant Discussed Bribes By Ariz. Coach

Law360 (April 24, 2019, 8:40 PM EDT) -- A University of Arizona basketball coach was again mentioned in a federal corruption probe when secretly recorded conversations of a defendant discussing an alleged plan to make illicit payments to a top recruit were played for a New York federal jury Wednesday.

Defendant Christian Dawkins, a former runner for prominent basketball agent Andy Miller and ASM Sports, allegedly told co-conspirators in an alleged scheme to bribe college coaches that Arizona head men's basketball coach Sean Miller was making payments to former star player DeAndre Ayton and his family and wanted to pass it off to him.
