Execs 'Abused The System,' Jury Told As FIFA Trial Kicks Off

Law360, New York (November 13, 2017, 9:52 PM EST) -- Three former South American soccer officials “abused the system” of international soccer to “line their own pockets with money that should have been spent to benefit the game,” a prosecutor told jurors in New York federal court Monday as the first trial in the U.S. government’s FIFA corruption probe kicked off in earnest.
