Airline Ticket Buyer Class Seeks Cert. In Antitrust Row

Law360 (March 5, 2018, 8:06 PM EST) -- A group of passengers asked a New York federal judge Thursday to certify a class that claims it paid higher airline prices because ticket distribution companies colluded to strong-arm airliners into all-or-nothing fare listings, passing their booking fees on to consumers.

The filing says the lawsuit against the world’s largest global distribution systems — Amadeus IT Group SA, Sabre Holdings Corp. and Travelport Worldwide Ltd. — which provide a link between airlines and ticket sellers, comfortably satisfies certification requirements.
