WilmerHale Atty Doesn't Recall Giving Up Ex-ConvergEx Exec
Law360, Newark (March 13, 2018, 8:54 PM EDT) -- A WilmerHale partner who represented the ConvergEx Group LLC board in a securities fraud investigation told a New Jersey federal judge Tuesday that he can't remember trying to get prosecutors to go after individuals and let the company go, as one indicted former executive claims he did.
Boyd Johnson appeared before U.S. District Judge Jose Linares as a government witness on the second day of a hearing requested by Anthony Blumberg. The former executive has been charged with conspiracy and securities and wire fraud for allegedly deceiving customers about trading profits when he was head of ConvergEx's Bermuda-based broker-dealer.
