Claims Dismissed In Ford Cruise Control Switch MDL

Law360, New York (October 5, 2009, 5:43 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed claims in a multidistrict case against Ford Motor Co. brought after a recall that affected 10 million vehicles on behalf of a putative class of consumers who lost the use of their cruise control function.

Judge Bernard A. Friedman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan granted nearly all Ford's partial motion to dismiss a fourth amended master complaint in the MDL, denying only Ford's request to dismiss certain state law claims.
