DC Circ. Asked To Halt EPA's Rollback Of Methane Regs
Law360 (September 16, 2020, 9:01 PM EDT) -- A coalition of environmental groups have asked the D.C. Circuit to stay the Trump administration's rule gutting Obama-era regulations that clamped down on methane emissions from new and modified oil and gas infrastructure, calling the move's rationale "flimsy, counterfactual and outcome-driven."
The Environmental Defense Fund, the Sierra Club and several other groups sued the Trump administration Tuesday for rolling back methane emission standards for oil and gas operations and asked for the appeals court to halt or throw out the administration's rule, which went into effect Monday.
