Judge Keeps $200M MDL Over Ford Vans Alive

Law360, New York (July 12, 2010, 6:01 PM EDT) -- Despite trimming some claims against Ford Motor Co. over allegedly defective E-350 vans, a federal judge has refused to nix a putative class action that one plaintiffs' attorney said could still cost Ford more than $200 million.

In a 160-page opinion, Judge Garrett E. Brown Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey refused to throw out all the claims asserted against Ford by named plaintiffs in most of the 11 states at issue.
