Feds Say NYPD Cheats Reservists On Pensions

Law360, New York (July 12, 2010, 11:12 AM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors have filed a civil suit against New York for allegedly underpaying pension benefits to the city's police officers who serve as reservists in the military.

U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara on Friday sued the city, its police department and the New York City Police Pension Fund in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on behalf of war veteran and retired detective David Goodman.
