E-Book Antitrust Actions Off To Slow Start

Law360, New York (September 22, 2011, 2:41 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge said Thursday that newly filed antitrust class actions alleging Apple Inc. and six leading publishers fixed the prices of e-books will be on hold until at least December while a venue is determined.

U.S. District Judge George B. Daniels said at a status conference that he would hold off on moving the “massive litigation” forward while the panel of judges in charge of multidistrict litigation decides whether to take up the suits.
