2nd Circ. Lets $180M Sirius XM Antitrust Deal Stand

Law360, New York (March 6, 2013, 6:02 PM EST) -- The Second Circuit refused Tuesday to reconsider the fairness of a $180 million class settlement over the merger that created Sirius XM Radio Inc., again shooting down objections from class members who feel the settlement was overvalued and insufficient.

Barring a trip to the U.S. Supreme Court, the order will put to rest long-running class action litigation that claimed the $3.5 billion merger of Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. and XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. in 2008 resulted in a monopoly for satellite radio and higher prices...
