Judge OKs $85M Lufthansa Settlement

Law360, New York (March 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has placed his imprimatur on Lufthansa AG's $85 million settlement in the ongoing multidistrict antitrust litigation over alleged price-fixing in the air cargo shipping service industry.

Judge John Gleeson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York has granted the settlement his preliminary approval, Michael Hausfeld of Cohen Milstein Hausfeld & Toll PLLC, which is representing the plaintiffs, said Wednesday.

The docket did not show a preliminary approval order as of Wednesday afternoon.
