GM Asks Supreme Court To Review Bankruptcy Shield Ruling

Law360, New York (December 13, 2016, 6:41 PM EST) -- General Motors, the auto-building behemoth mired in lawsuits over a deadly ignition-switch defect, petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday to step into the dispute, arguing a federal appeals court had undermined a crucial liability-shedding provision of the bankruptcy process.
