Trump Shelled Out $1.4M In Labor Deal Over Tower

Law360, Los Angeles (November 27, 2017, 11:09 PM EST) -- President Donald Trump and his companies agreed to pay nearly $1.4 million to end a long-running labor suit over the building where Trump Tower now stands, according to documents unsealed after a magazine story about Trump’s use of allegedly unauthorized workers on the project.

Back in 1998, Trump, the Trump Organization Inc. and Trump-Equitable Fifth Avenue Co. resolved the 15-year-long labor lawsuit filed by Joseph Hardy and other workers with a $1,375,000 payment divvied up between workers’ attorneys and pension and insurance funds for the workers,...
