Aetna Life Insurance Co. on Wednesday demanded sanctions against one of three health care providers it recently won an $8.4 million judgment against for a billing fraud conspiracy, telling a Texas federal judge that the defendant is interfering with the insurer's business through false accusations of self-dealing.

Aetna Hits Clinics, Hospital With Billing Fraud Claims
Aetna Life Insurance Co. targeted three health care providers with a fraud suit in Texas federal court on Wednesday, saying two of the providers, aided by the third, had wrongfully posed as emergency rooms to bill the insurer at inflated prices, costing Aetna millions.
