LG Display Settles With 8 States, Consumers In LCD MDL
LG Display Co. Ltd. has become the last company to settle with a class of indirect purchasers in California multidistrict litigation accusing it of fixing prices for liquid crystal display screens, it said in a regulatory filing Monday that also announced a settlement with eight states.

Consumers suing liquid-crystal display manufacturers for price-fixing are worried that trying their case together with direct purchasers would confuse jurors with conflicting evidence about how much of the overcharge was passed on, and asked a California federal judge Thursday to split the litigation into two trials.
