Time To Reopen Some DOJ Antitrust Field Offices

Law360, New York (January 4, 2017, 12:35 PM EST) -- President-elect Donald Trump has promised a massive public procurement effort to help rebuild America’s infrastructure. Trump has pledged to spend anywhere from half a trillion to a trillion dollars upgrading the nation’s aging roads, bridges and transportation hubs.[1] To help ensure that money is spent free from corruption, I have a modest proposal. The incoming Trump administration should reopen at least two of the Antitrust Division’s shuttered field offices.
