Law360, New York (February 27, 2014, 5:06 PM EST) -- When the public comment period for the proposed Federal Rules amendments closed on Feb. 18, 2014, more than 2,200 written comments had been submitted to the Advisory Committee on Civil Rules through regulations.gov.[1] Some of the proposed amendments appear to enjoy widespread support, including changes to Rule 34 requiring greater specificity in objections to document requests. Consensus seems also to favor most of the case management-related proposals, such as the shortening of time for the court to issue a scheduling order under Rule 16....
