BigLaw Sets The Bar For LGBT Equality Policies

By Aebra Coe (December 5, 2016, 3:29 PM EST) -- BigLaw is leading the rest of the corporate world in terms of creating workplaces that are friendly to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workers, according to a report released Monday.

Of the 200 largest law firms in the U.S. by revenue, 112 scored a perfect 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2017 Corporate Equality Index, which rates businesses based on their workplace equality policies for LGBT workers. The legal industry had a big lead in front of the next highest-scoring industry, banking and financial services, which netted 69 top scores, according to the report.
